The Czech National Bank (CNB) has announced the creation of a $1 million test crypto portfolio, which includes bitcoin, dollar stablecoins and a tokenized deposit. This is the first known case of bitcoin appearing on a central bank’s balance sheet.
The pilot project was approved by the CNB Board on October 30. According to the bank, its goal is to gain practical experience in handling digital assets and test the processes of their purchase, storage and management.
