The Russian Federation Council has proposed testing calculations in crypto assets in special areas.
The Federation Council announced an initiative for practical testing of calculations using cryptoassets. The experiment is proposed to be conducted in special administrative regions (SAR): on the islands of Russian and Oktyabrsky. These regions have long been considered as a platform for legal innovation and may be suitable for the introduction of cryptotechnology into the real economy.
The Federation Council’s proposal is actually a step towards developing the legal framework necessary to legalize digital assets in the Russian economy.
In conditions when the financial systеm is under increased pressure from external constraints, the development of settlements in alternative forms becomes not only a matter of technological progress, but also a tool for ensuring economic sovereignty.
